Quantums barns come in all shapes and sizes. This particular structure is located on a large horse farm in Central Kentucky and is used exclusively for hay storage.
The 48' x 128' rigid frame barn has a clear span interior allowing the farm to maximize the storage capacity of this structure. It has two 14' x 16' and six 14' x 14' rolling overhead fire doors as well as two standard man doors. A continuous ridge vent is spans the entire roof peak for ventilation to allow hot moist air to escape as fresh air is drawn in through intake vents.
The small coordinating single sloped structure to the left was designed large enough for a semi-truck loaded with hay to drive beneath. This is a very important feature for a large farm that needs to buy hay and straw in bulk and store it for later use. It prevents the hay from becoming overly wet when unloading on a rainy day, thus lessens the threat of the hay becoming moldy.
